Sooo Bummed!!!
Well I was really excited to blog our trip to Iowa and put up a lot of great pics we had taken but when I went looking for the camera I couldn't find it... It was in Matt's backpack on the plane but we took it out to take a pic of Ave and I on the last flight from Dallas to Phoenix. I vaguely remember sticking it in the seat pocket in front of me but we checked everything before we got off the plane. Matt called and left a message for American Airlines lost and found but who knows if we will ever hear anything. I am sooo incredibly bummed not only because we lost my camera in its perfect little pink case but because we lost all those pics of our moments. I will post some pics that Matt's Mom took soon! We did have some great pics that hopefully will be returned to us soon :-(

Tennis Shoes...Mama tennis shoes
Avery makes me laugh so much these days as she figures out the world around her. She follows everything that Matt and I do. On this particular day last week it was early morning and I told Avery I was gonna workout. I have been doing some biggest loser sculpting workouts on TV and she doesn't like it when I take a break from playing to focus a little bit on me :-)
She kept repeating me saying "mama gonna workout." I kept replying "yep mama gonna workout." She followed me into my room where I was telling her I was gonna put my tennis shoes on. She then followed me back out to the living room looking at the laces on my shoes and saying "mama tennis shoes." "Yep mama's tennis shoes Avery" I replied. So about half way into my workout Avery had disappeared into my bedroom. I wasn't too worried knowing she would return soon. As she rounded the corner from my room and I looked over she had a big SMILE on her face and said "mama look...Avery's tennis shoes." And then she walked over to me with my other pair of shoes on and was trying to do my workout. Needless to say I was laughing so hard and had to capture the moment and get pics of my little girl coming to workout with Mommy. At that moment Matt walked out of the office and I had him quickly grab the camera so we could have the pic of our little mccabe moment!!! I LOVE being her Mommy especially on days like this one!!!
Sprinkler Pad
Oh we have so much fun at he sprinkler pad!!! There are a few sprinkler pads in Anthem and this one is very neat and Avery of course loves it because it involves water. We have been going there weekly with her cousins and I have to hold her until her clothes are off and sunscreen is on otherwise she runs straight for the water. On this particular day the bees loved her pink ruffles on her bathing suit. I almost had a heart attack every time one landed on her but she didn't seem bothered one bit. She also grabbed a bee with her hand and I tried my best to not over react. I just opened her little hand and let the bee fly away and asked her if she was ok. Nothing could bother this little girl in the water!!!

4th and more...
This is Avery's big "CHEESY" smile as you can see she still needs to get some of her teeth and we are working on them this week.
Avery and Matt saw fireworks in Anthem on the 3rd while I was at work. I thought for sure they would scare her but Matt said she was trying to reach out and grab them!!! She is so brave and strong willed :-) (Will post the fireworks pictures soon...have to get them from Amy)
I worked all weekend so Matt and Avery got to hang together. They played in the sprinklers on Sunday and Matt said he mowed the lawn while she played. In this hot weather it is an absolute necessity to have water going if you play outside. Matt was using the hose to rinse the lawnmower off and Avery went and got her lawnmower toy to do the same. Then she proceeded to water the trees and the rocks saying "tree thirsty"..."rocks thirsty"!!! She is cracking us up these days!!!!
Matt and I both think that another synapse has connected in Avery's little brain because she is talking a lot and all of her words are becoming clearer. Its nice that we communicate so well now. She still uses some signs so between talking and signing we pretty much understand almost everything she is trying to say!!! A lot of people have commented on how big she is and how now she is such a little girl. Makes her mama sad that she is growing so big but also very proud. We have come a long way in two years and I am so thankful to have a happy, healthy little girl.

Yesterday and then today....
Yesterday Avery and I went to the community pool for 2 hours. We had so much fun together and she truly was such a gem. We just walked around the pool and played. She would grab my finger and then lead me all around (most of it is only 2 feet deep). She found the toddler pool yesterday and kept saying "mommy, look, cool" She loved the miniature pool and was splashing around in it. She would say "hi" to all the kids. Over by the toddler pool you can hear the music that they play at the waterpark a little bit better. She didn't hold back and started dancin away. She started saying "look, robot." And then she proceeded to dance like a robot. Matt taught her this and when she did it yesterday I almost died of laughter. She thought it was pretty neat! I kept telling Matt all day yesterday how much fun we had...she truly was precious!!!
Then came today!!! We had a playdate planned with my friend Sarah and her little boy Ciaran. We went to Jump U. A big place full of jumpy houses galore. There were quite a few kids there and I think Avery was a little overwhelmed. She would go and jump but only if I went with her. Then at the end of the two hour playtime she had a total meltdown and we left with her screaming and kicking in my arms. I think she might be tired from all our fun yesterday. We were driving home and she said "mommy teeth, ear hurt." Poor kid!
I guess this is the day in the life of an almost two year old. Somedays are fantastic and somedays are a little more trying!!! Tomorrow I think we will stay home and rest :-)

Weekend Moments...

This weekend Linc and Denise came to town. Avery loved spending time with them and for some reason she thought Lincoln was John (matt's younger brother). It was pretty cute!!! Denise looks great and is growing the baby boy beautifully. Her belly is tiny and cute.
Avery loved going and "jump on bed" as she would say. She would grab their hands and take them back to the bed they were sleeping on to jump on it. Lincoln taught her how to bonk her head and say "ouch." So we have been hearing lots of ouches. Enjoy the pics of our weekend!!!
Finally a pic!!
