Just because...

There are lots of pics of Avery so I needed to put an updated pic of Madyx. He is growing and so busy. He walks everywhere and climbs everything! He was so sick yesterday he would only lay in my arms and put his head on my chest. He had a fever and I knew it must be bad if he didn't want to get down to play. I took him to the doctor and he has an ear infection....Today he feels so much better and is making up for his loss of energy yesterday! We love him so much and he is so fun!

Yesterday at the doc he weighed 22lbs can't believe it because he eats SO much. Sometimes he eats more than me and he only gained a little over 1 pound in 2 months! Silly boy I guess its because he is so busy he is burning all those calories ;-)

Happy Birthday Avery

My Dearest Avery,

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!!

I can hardly believe you are already four years old. You are such a joy in our lives.

I never had any idea that every cell in my body could love something so much until the day you were born. Your tiny little body stole my heart. You have grown so fast that some days I wish time would stand still so that I can memorize every single detail of you at certain stages. Your personality grows by leaps and bounds every day. You are curious about life and although you always want to be a "big girl" the other day you told me you don't want to grow up. But I know you will and I hope that I can guide you and direct you to be the best "big girl" that you can be.

Some things about you right now are:

You love to swim. You took off this summer and haven't stopped since. When your in the pool I see such joy in your eyes.

You recently started dance class and I love watching your free spirit explore the way your body moves. I may be a little biased but I think you are the best in your class.

You currently go to prechool 3 days a week and flourish while you are there. Every day you come home and tell me who made good choices and who made bad choices throughout the day. I love that you recognize the difference and are concerned enough to tell me about it. There are days that you come home and tell me things that your friends say and my heart wishes I could protect you from the world. I know it is my job to teach you kindness, love, friendship, obedience, and all the while let you explore what the world is all about.

You love to play with your brother and I LOVE watching you teach him and be patient with him. You truly are the best big sister around.

You still sleep with your blankie and all your guys (dippy, panda, stinky, green bear, popscicle) and your newest ladybug pillow pet.

You love to help Mommy and Daddy cook and do such a great job.

You have an amazing little spirit and it is such a joy to watch you grow. I cherish every single second of being your mama!

You currently weight 35pounds and are in the 55% for your weight.

You are 42inches tall and are in the 92% for height.

You are gorgeous...keep growing, learning, exploring, and loving!

Then we celebrated with friends....

Peter Piper Pizza it was on a Monday right after preschool and it was awesome. We were the only group there so they had all the games to themselves. She LOVED it!

Then we celebrated with family at home...

We had just family over for lunch on Sunday to celebrate our special gal! She chose the menu:

First Celebration at Preschool

This cute little lady turned 4 and boy did we celebrate...First we brought mini cinnamon rolls and muffins to her class on Friday. She was pretty shy when they sang "happy birthday" to her. She doesn't like to be the center of attention I think she got it from her mama ;-)

Hawks Game

The all anticipated Hawkeye vs. U of A game....The boys have been planning it for months. Josh, John, Tony D., Linc and Matt all went down to the game. Kim, Heisman, Me, Avery, and Madyx stayed in Phoenix and played. Heisman and Madyx are one week apart in age and had fun playing together. They loved passing food to each other while sitting in their high chairs. They shared sippy cups and snacks! They had a blast! Ave loved being the big kid!

They boys were disappointed with Hawks loss but had a great time. Kim and I got a little time to ourselves...Matt made sure we got out of the house and got pedicures and massages!

It was a great time. Thanks for traveling to the ridiculously hot AZ guys!

Dancing Queen

Mmmmm spaghetti!

This little guy can eat! He will pretty much eat anything and loves it. I made spaghetti one night and stripped him down to his diaper and let him go to town! He loved it...and went straight to the bath afterwards ;-)

Swim Class

Avery stared swim class the beginning of September and of course she LOVES it! She is learning lots of techniques and even got to jump off the diving board. Matt took a video with his phone I will try to download here too. She was sooo brave and of course walked right out there and jumped off. Of course all the other kids were shy and/or crying...Not our Ave she jumped off and Matt said good job Ave and she said "when can I go off the high dive?" oh my.....

What happened to September?

Holy Moly September has flown by in a blink of an eye! I seriously can not believe that October is here....why in the world is time going so fast. My only guess is that we are busy but in all the business I am still trying to record our little moments so here ya go....McCabe's September
