Mothers Day 2010

I have told Matt for a few years that I would love to go to a brunch on Mothers Day. So this small hotel had a breakfast buffet brunch in honors of Mothers Day and we went. It was so much fun and Avery and Madyx had fun sampling all of the items as well. Avery's favorite was the belgium waffles with strawberries on top. She was a little hesitant because it wasn't her traditional pancake but loved it. Madyx had a little of everything. And Matt and I enjoyed the eggs benedict and petit fours. We were getting ready to get a family photo with Matt in it and of course the camera died ;-( Glad we at least got these pics of me and my beautiful babes. I love them more than words can describe. I feel so lucky to be given the gift of being their MaMa!

Muffins with Mom

Avery's class did a "Muffins for Mom" in celebration of Mothers Day. Avery insisted that we both wear skirts so she went to my closet and picked out my outfit even my shoes. She was so excited and ran out to Matt and said "look at Mommy" When we got to her class they sang "You are my Sunshine." It was so precious and left me with tears in my eyes. I just can't believe what a big girl she is. We sat down and had muffins and iced tea and then got to play with them in the classroom. The preschool had arranged chair massages and an aesthetician who was doing hand massages. So we snuck out of the classroom for those! I am so blessed to be this girls mama and I love every second of it!

Princess Party

Avery's friend Gracelyn had a princess 4th Birthday Party. Avery was sooo excited and planned her outfit for days! She selected her accessories (bracelet and necklace). We put some sparkles on her face and some lip gloss on. She loved every second of it!

9 month olds...already

Our little man is 9 months old today! Time feels like it is moving at warp speed. Here are his latest stats:

Height-28inches 42nd percentile

Weight- 17lbs 12ozs 5th percentile

He crawls, he stands, he climbs, and takes a couple of steps. He says mama, dada, and the latest "uh oh" He still nurses a lot but he is taking more formula bottles too. He wears size three diapers. He loves to eat and is eating three meals a day of fruit, veggies, and cereal. He is starting to be more interested in real food but still has no teeth. He is always smiling and still up 2 or 3 times a night. We love him to pieces and he is our busy lovable BOY!

Seriously So Cute

We got back from Minnesota yesterday and Avery was so excited to get back to preschool today. She got herself up and dressed and picked out all her ACCESSORIES! How cute is this!

Shoulder Ride

We went on a family walk last night which becomes a request of Avery every time the weather is beautiful. Avery requested that we go to Wal-Mart because she needed Trix, Rice Krispies, and bandaids. Yep my 3 1/2 year old had her own grocery list and all she talked about yesterday is the fact that we needed to go to the store to get these items. So funny!

Madyx was tired of the walk/trip to Wal-Mart because it was approaching his bed time hour so I took him out of the stroller and we had fun doing this:

Out of the mouths of babes....

Tonight Matt came home early from the office and grilled some chicken. We sat outside eating salad, grilled chicken and corn on the cob. It was beautiful outside. Avery perks up in the middle of dinner and says "When I grow up I will be a mom won't that be cool?" Matt and I both smiled and said "yeah Ave that would be cool." Matt said "Avery we will be so proud of you when you grow up." She sat there for a second soaking it in and said "but Daddy I will be a princess too and can you be the dragon and fly over my dance contest." I giggled inside as I watched them talk this out.
Matt said "well how will I turn into a dragon?
Avery said " Madyx will be the king and have a wand and blast you into a dragon"
Matt said "ok that would be cool"

And that was it so Avery will be a Mom and a princess too with Dragon Daddy and King Madyx when she grows up. I love her little conversations lately she is pretty silly.....
