Last pic of my belly with our little man cookin...

So hard to believe that this is the last pic of my pregnant belly! This was taken 9 days before Madyx was born and I think you can see the swelling in my face and hands! I think the old saying is true...that when carrying a girl your butt gets big but when carrying a boy your just all belly! This is how Matt's grandma Nel told me ever so gently that she thought Avery was a girl. My sister swore all along with Madyx that it was a boy because my butt wasn't as big. She even had me turn around to one of her friends to show her my rear side! Nice huh...

Catching up....

Well I am going through all my pics and realize I am a little behind from before we had Madyx...so here it goes! I am gonna try and catch up!

First of all spending 6 weeks on bedrest lead to some entertaining ideas with Avery. She did so great and we tried to do some fun things in the house with her. Here is a glimpse of life with an almost 3 year old while on bedrest....

Making Peanut Butter Dessert..."all by herself"
Many days walking around with a baby in her dress...just like
Mommy....

Mommy giving her a pedicure
pink toes are a must!

Painting some wooden starts at the table!

Making homemade pizza with Daddy!

Madyx Morton McCabe

Well it seems absolutely surreal that our precious baby is here with us and home with us! It was an extremely long week but we are both healthy and our family is so happy.

Madyx Morton McCabe was born July 29, 2009 at 3:49am. He weighed 4pounds 13oz and is 17 1/4 inches long. He is a pound bigger than Avery was but an inch and 3/4 shorter. He is absolutely precious and although it took me a day or so to get used to the fact that we have a son I am sooooo in love!

Enjoy our pics of our first few days as a family of FOUR!

Another Update!!!!

So we are now 34 2/7 weeks pregnant and this baby is bigger than Avery was not only when she was born but when we brought her home from the hospital!!! I am getting ready to pack away the preemie clothes because I don't think we will be needing them ;-)

This week was a little different then the last few. I woke up every morning and sometimes in the middle of the night with some significant headaches. I was also seeing black spots but told myself it was just "dirty contacts." Finally on Wednesday after my sister said my face looked swollen I text messaged one of the docs and he said I should probably head into the hospital. So I went and spent a couple hours in triage and they drew some labs which were all the same as the week prior and stable. By the time I left after laying down for 2 hours my blood pressure was 102/72 perfect!!! So who knows what the headaches are about... I did a 24 hour urine so they could check for protein and as of Friday at my doctors appointment the results were still pending. I was hoping she would call over the weekend with them but hopefully I will hear something tomorrow!

I have been on bedrest for over a month and if I can make it a few more weeks than we will bring home a term baby with us....SOOOO EXCITED about that! The pics above are from last Thursday at our biophysical profile and the baby was showing off. I got to see its face so clearly and I was giggling because it was so cute. It even opened its mouth at one point and the sonographer and I were laughing! So cute!

Avery is getting more excited everyday and everytime I go to the doctor or an appointment which is 3x a week she thinks for sure that we are gonna have a baby!

I have officially packed a baby bag which consists of some really boring gender neutral stuff. I did buy one set of girl onesies and one set of boy onesies and have decided that when the day comes Matt or someone will wash whatever gender it is and bring those to the hospital!!!

So thats the latests and greatest not too exciting but some cute pics if nothing else!

Great Day!!!!

Look at that cutie...hands, feet, and umbilical cord all by its face...

Well our growth ultrasound went very well this morning...I have been saying lots of prayers and so far they were all answered for today. This baby is head down now...not frank breech like it has been for the last month! Big relief and hopefully it stays that way!

And the other news is we had a HUGE growth spurt! This baby was in the 8th percentile weighing 2lbs 12oz 3 weeks ago and today it is in the 38th percentile weighing an estimated 4lbs 5oz!!!! Now to put this in perspective I have never carried a baby this big. When we brought Avery home she was just barely 4lbs. The ultrasound tech remeasured several times and even said "I am trying to make it smaller just because its such a big jump and I just can't." She also looked at me and said "have you been on bedrest or something." Made me feel great that all this time laying on the couch is definetly paying off not only for my blood pressure but for this little babe too.

No doubt that the great meals my friends cooked and the wondeful treats my Grandma sent helped us both! :-)

Labs drawn again today and don't see Dr. Williamson again until the 17th. I will be 33 weeks tomorrow! I really feel blessed and know that all the love and support are working wonders for us.... I am feeling very hopeful that we will make it several more weeks. Thanks to everyone for their prayers, love and support we got 7 more weeks til our due date and I will take all of it if I can get it!

Growing Baby!!

32 Weeks....Hooray!!!

32 weeks?????

Avery growing a baby BIG, BIG, BIG

Everybody in our house knows that we are working on growing a baby! Avery put one of her balls in her dress and then of course Daddy had to do it too! She just says "mama that baby has to grow big big big." Thats right Ave Mama is working on it!

I haven't updatd because there isn't a whole lot going on. Bedrest is boring but I think I am doing a pretty good job. I have all the gender neutral baby stuff washed and ready for this little one.

We have a growth ultrasound tomorrow to see how big this baby is! So far my blood pressure and labs have remained stable. I am really feeling confident and hopeful that we will make it several more weeks this time around hopefully my body will agree with my head and my heart. I love watching and feeling this little one move around! I definetly am enjoying this pregnancy and all its little quirks!

So think hopeful thoughts for us tomorrow morning at 9:30 am that this baby is growing BIG, BIG, BIG! And as you can see my belly is getting BIG, BIG, BIG...hopefully for a reason ;-)

Happy 4th of July!

I have to post a pic of this little cutie because all I have been writing about is the new babe and myself! But our little Avery is just growing so big right before our eyes. With the reality of the new little one arriving soon we just look at Avery now and she looks like such a big girl. She is the sweetest girl in the world and so much fun too!

Hope everyone is having a Happy 4th of July!!!
